Hey guys! We have just passed the one-year mark on our Seahunter 41 cat and wanted to share this experience we’ve had with Abyss Batteries. As many of you may know, we put a tremendous workload on our equipment, especially our batteries, annually. Whether it’s with our old reliable 39 Seahunter with a Seakeeper or the 41 cat with twin Rhodan GPS anchors, our batteries face a net loss each day. These trips are between 150 and 200 miles on average, sometimes much more, spanning 12 to 16 hours per day. Eight hours are our version of a half-day. 😉💪🏻

The point being, this is a tremendous load on a battery, normally pushing it hard every single day, pounding through offshore conditions, only to return to the charging cycle for no more than four hours per night before heading out again the next day. Normally, I would be cooking AGM batteries and needing to replace them every year. It’s expensive and a giant pain in the neck when you consider losing a cell that ends up slowly eating away the life of the other batteries until you finally get around to replacing them. That has plagued us for decades.

But now? We’ve put over 50,000 miles on our 41 cat in just one year—running to the Tortugas and Pully Ridge—and these batteries are still as strong as the day we got them! No degradation at all.

Honestly, it feels great to finally have a product we can truly stand behind. If you’re an installer, building your next boat, or just looking for reliable batteries, don’t waste your time anywhere else. This is the final stop. You should go. We’re so glad we made the change

Now this one was a lot of fun!🤩 After catching a few Amber Jack ranging from 10-25 lbs, we dropped on a new spot that looked promising. Instantly our @jygprofishing Jiggs hooked up. One turned out to be another AJ, however, the other was definitely way bigger. After about 15 minutes this whomper African Pompano hit the surface. The excitement what real and this fish was a welcomed surprise. You just never know what you might catch in the #DryTortugas

Here’s another absolutely epic day in the #DryTortugas 🙌
We were able to catch 12 different species of fish, including snapper, grouper, and some nice #dorado . These guys had a blast, breaking some pb’s, and knocking fish off the bucket list. It doesn’t get any better than this.

Pulley Ridge produces such a wide variety of different delicious fish! This Queen Snapper is some of the most sought after because of their Beautiful Color and the taste of their meat. We had a full cooler of Tilefish, Grouper, Snapper, and we ended up losing a big Warsaw Grouper aswell!

Now that’s a slab of MEAT! 🥩 Some may say this is too much fish. The reality of it is, all of this fresh wild caught seafood will be preserved and eaten by multiple families for months to come. Not to mention, the fish we catch is far better for your body than 99% of the foods you can buy at a grocery store. Come on down and make some memories while filling your freezer at the same time.
