Merry Fish-mas
We were able to get out on the water for a few trips in between the Christmas celebrations. Kevin Smith and the gang tore them up as usual this week with several nice Black Groupers. The biggest was into the mid 40’s and bigger, well, lets just say a few are still swimming around out there somewhere waiting for the next unsuspecting victim to put a bait in front of them. Pelagics slowed a bit down to the west near the Dry Tortugas where we fished but near Key West Wahoo and Tuna were pretty active. Ed Patricoff’s group had a great day on the water as well. Nice Blackfin Tuna and a plethora of large Mutton Snapper filled the box. All in all the fishing down here right now is great and looks great for the coming winter season.
