Information and frequently asked questions about our Key West and Dry Tortugas fishing charters. If you have any questions please feel free to Contact Us.

Tackle Provided

Spinning Tackle, Bait Casting Tackle, Conventional Tackle and Fly Fishing Tackle. We also use I.G.F.A. line class from 2# to Unlimited. Children, Beginners, and Experts are all welcome.

Our vessels are equipped with the latest state of the art electronics and U.S.C.G. approved safety equipment. We are U.S.C.G. Licensed and Insured. You are welcome to bring some of your own tackle if you wish.

Trip Includes

We provide all licenses, bait, tackle and ice for your trip.

What You Should Bring

Food and Beverages.
Sunscreen, Sunglasses, and Cap.
Light Foul Weather Gear.
Your own tackle if you wish.
Ziplock bags for your fillets.
A cooler to transport your catch home.

Time To Be At The Dock

Your charter will leave at approximately 7:30am. Please call Capt. Billy Delph at 305-304-7574 the day before your trip to confirm this and get an update on the weather and fishing conditions.

Prohibited Items

** NO GPS Equipment of ANY Sort. This includes smartphones or GPS enabled cameras. The captain will take plenty of pictures and you will be able to download them once back at the dock.

How many people can come on the boat?

A maximum of 6 people on our offshore boats and 2-3 people on our flats skiffs.

What if some people in my group don’t fish, can more than six people come?

The number of passengers allowed on the vessel is regulated by the Coast Guard and they do not discriminate who is fishing and who is not.

If the Delph’s aren’t available, can you recommend another Captain?

We certainly can refer you to the most reputable Captains in Key West and help you book a trip with them.

Do you make Hotel reservations for us?

We can recommend local hotels and accommodations to you but you must book them yourself.

Are children welcome?

Of course! All ages and sizes are welcome. Parents should bring life jackets for small children.

Does the boat have a bathroom?

Yes, there is a marine head on board.

What is appropriate clothing to fish in?

We recommend hats, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, foul weather gear and long sleeve shirts.

Do we get to keep our catch? How do we clean it?

Yes! Our marina has cleaning tables and your Captain will be happy to help clean your catch.

Can you arrange split party charters?

Because there are only a few customers each year that request this style of trip it is very difficult for us to arrange parties. It is suggested that you arrange this with another party on your own before booking a trip, however we will try our best.

Is there a Mate?

As part of the unique and personal experience of fishing on a light tackle boat, you will fish together as a team one-on-one with your Captain.

I have some tackle I would like to bring. Is that ok?

We provide ice, bait, tackle and fishing licenses with your trip. Yes, you can bring any tackle that you would like also.

Can we fish extra hours?

Yes, the rate is $100 per additional hour.

Do I need to leave a deposit for the trip booking?

Yes, we require a $400 deposit at the time of your booking.

Is a deposit required to book the trip?

Yes, even if you have fished with us before in good standing it helps us keep our books straight for everyone else. The amount is usually $400 however check with your Captain to confirm.
